Jackie one thing I would suggest is look real close at height of cross bars that hold seats. Your champ is pretty narrow on the front so it almost makes it necessary to swing inside and step over those cross bars to get to back of boat. I have fished out of a couple and I don’t like having to swing out over open water to get to the back and the other way I have tripped over those bars. And in this I’m thinking about your dad fishing up there. Just my opinion but I’d find a way to put bases in the deck.

Check out AR21Angler's post here in classifieds. the one he has is the EZT pole perch. I have the same thing I am using in a Triton Tr-196. If you have the room I would put two bases down.
