    Default Pymie

Fished at the docks at Linesville yesterday for 3 hours all I caught were small perch. Didn’t see any of the 20 other guys catch any crappies. Did see an angler catch 2 large muskies off the point of the stone break wall. He got both within a half hour. He had heavy duty gear so landing the big fish wasn’t a problem. Weeds were a problem. Pretty thick and green around the docks.

I'm thinking of making a trip to Pymatuning this year. What is the best place to launch a boat?

It depends on the type of fishing and species your trying for. Upper end of the lake is shallow. Water at the dam end is deep. Early spring northern end is best and as the water warms the dam end of the lake gets a good bite.

The lake has launch sites all around the lake. It really depends upon the wind conditions on where it is easier to launch.

Go on line and look at a map will help you a lot.
