    Default Missing in Action!

I have been missing in action from this site for a while for various reasons. Had a health scare but things are okay and the wife is getting a knee replacement next week so I've been busy.
I have been working on the walleyes on the Clarion River this spring and summer and doing quite well. The crappie population has exploded on the river and we are catching quite a few crappie while trolling for walleye. I am grateful to get on the water when I can with my brother.Name: IMG_20230710_121734264.jpg

A lot of good eating there. Are you trolling crankbaits?

Thank you for the response. Sounds like the rigs we used to use in Lake Erie year ago. 3-way swivel with lead weight bouncing bottom.

We are using 2oz bottom bouncers. I tie them with 14lb test mono and use #3 spinner blades.

If you don't mind telling, what boat launch are you launching at?
Took a ride to check TOBY out and it looked a little tricky. The water was really low.

Sorry I didn't answer your question sooner, wife had knee replacement surgery and I have been playing nurse maid. We launch at Toby because they dredged the launch out so you could launch. You can launch a small boat there but I doubt you can launch a big boat there, although I have seen people launch big boats with some difficulty. You can't drop your motor off the dock. We use our trolling motor to get to deep water, then drop the motor and we are on our way. It is very shallow at the dock but if you are careful, you can manage. I have seen people launch at Millcreek launch but with alot of difficulty. Hope this helps.

Went on a charter out of Ashtabula, Ohio last Saturday. We put 36 eyes in the box. Had six fish on at one time.
