    Default Pymatuning lake this morning

Got up at 4:30 with no plans for the day so I decided to head up to Jamestown area on Pymatuning lake. I’ve only fished there once this season before today. I had heard the perch bite was pretty good there this year and I was very pleased with my three hour results for today. Fished a hump that topped off at 9ft and they were there, along with a few nice crappies and numerous bluegills of various sizes. No live bait. Just itty bits from Bobby Garland tipped with nibbles fished right on the bottom. No livescope either. Could see them stacked up on 2D sonar. Off the lake just as it started getting hot 🥵.

Went back on Monday 7/31 and had an even better day. Hang glided over brush in 12 to 16 ft water with BG itty bits on 1/32 oz heads. Had a half oz egg sinker a foot above the jig that was tipped with crappie nibbles. Put 13 crappies in the box, 11 yellow perch, 7 bluegills, 1 channel catfish and 1 white bass. Off the water at ten. Threw back quite a few short crappies gills and perch. I beat the heat and the fish that day.

Decided to get away from all the speed boats today and went to Pymatuning out of Jamestown again. I fished the same three spots as before and the results are amazingly similar. Crappies perch and gills. All on baby shad baits.

Headed back up this morning. Took my buddy Tim with me. We had an enjoyable day. Caught lots of fish. Most were in really deep water. Hang glided over the brush and little drop offs with BG baby Shad’s on 1/16 oz heads.Name: IMG_3610.jpg
