Default Crappie are still spawning at Shenango lake

Don’t stop looking shallow yet. The spawn is running a little late this year. I’m still catching them in 6 foot water right on or next to wood. The gills are making their beds too. They don’t run very big but are still fun to catch. This heatwave has the lake level falling daily. I hope it doesn’t fall too much more. Could hurt next years class of fish.

They’re still shallow as of yesterday. Put a nice stringer of crappies together

Trouble with pulling cranks are the white bass and strippers will out number the crappies by 10 to 1. Got to add the large cats to.
