Very nice buddy. Congrats on a super day on the water. Good pic.
But the fishing is getting hotter.
Took my nephew out Sunday in the wind and cool temps and we had a hot bite. Put forty fish in the livewell for him. Fished both deep and shallow to get them.
Top notch catching Chaunc! I was up last Wednesday for more shore fishing and picked up 8 with 6 of them being 11 - 12.5” and quite thick. I may trek up again tomorrow if time allows. It is hard to keep Captain Joe out of the tree stand right now even though 70 degree weather is more productive on the water most days.
Wednesday is suppose to be high 79-80 for temps. Then Thursday thru Saturday, cold with rain each day.
The crappies sure were turned on with the cooler water today. I caught 16 at my favorite shore spot then 2 more at a favored spring shore spot before heading out and sparing 2 others from the cooler. All were over 10” up to 12” and a fraction and thick. Most were on a pink and white jig or a plain white jig and nibble.
Chaunc, I think I saw your boat along the end of that point well below me. I assume you had good action as well today.
Another great day on Shenango ended up keeping 28 from 10 to 14 1/2 big one weighted 1.5 lbs caught over 60 fish, crappie and strippers. Jodi caught a double strippers on one pole , we fish two jigs per pole. A lot of people fishing today, all of ours coming on funky chicken, bubble gum and blue / silver. I’ll throw a couple of pics in . Didn’t see you Chaunc, didn’t make it down to beach area today.
