After a long winter of refurbing a new to me boat I finally got to fish from it yesterday. My cousin and I fished Wilmore dam from about 730 am just after noon. Caught a few small crappie, 5 keepers over 9 with the longest 11.5 and some blue gills (less than a dozen). The fish we caught were at about 10 ft deep in 20 feet of water.
All in all a good trip on the water once it warmed up temp was about 30 first thing in the morning. I was glad to move to were the sun was shining after the first spot had a bunch of fish with lockjaw.
Boat still isn't completely finished but you can fish out of it.

The wife and I took the boat for a short test float on Easter Sunday for a couple hours. The damn is only about 6 miles from my house, was going over what I need to do in my mind once we got to there. Just as we were about to pull into the parking lot I told the wife "I don't have a plug for the boat" knew exactly where it was sitting in the garage just wasn't on the boat. I had already spent about an hour searching for the remote for the trolling motor before we left.
Luckily there was a family taking there boat out of the water. I asked the Dad "Do you happen to have a spare plug" he chuckled a little and said "Yep just bought on last week as I expect the kids to lose one at some point" Very nice of him to donate it his spare, so we could take a test float.
