Tree Wrath, Welcome to the Pa board.
-
A few of you are on the other half of the state. Hopefully others will chime in, to help you guys, and gals.

Marburg and Pinchot have the shad, Blue Marsh has shad as well, and a minimum size for panfish (9")- never fished there though. Ontelaunee by Reading supposed to have a decent population as well - but bank fishing only.
Raystown has big ones too, but hard to get away from the Pleasure Boaters - I dont have a boat so my my options are limited, I mostly sneak around in the woods and fish the fall downs along the banks in the spring (much like trout). i usually do pretty well.
-
Been on for about a year - i mostly fish for crappie in the spring, then move on to other endevours. Hence not hearing from me much.
-
Tree Wrath, you should fish the fall too. Once the water starts cooling, you should be able to catch them as well too, at the same areas.

I realize that, however I like deer meat too (hence my tag name). There is only a limited amount of time that I can fill three tags. i never have much luck in the woods when it is warmer during the season, maybe Ill give it it a shot this year if we get some nice warm days in OCT. Im in a tree no matter what in Nov.

I fish Lake Erie, pymatuning, and Eaton reservoir. I prefer pymatuning when I can get people to go fishing with.

Just saw this post,I need to check the PA section more often.I mainly fish Blue Marsh, usually do pretty well there with good numbers and some nice sized fish.I also fish Auburn Dam,Sweet Arrow, and Tuscarora once in awhile.

AD1974, yes you should check in more often. Am aware that some don't though, for what ever reason.

Does anyone know if the ice is off Lake Arthur PA yet?
