At least you caught some fish. Isn't this why thay say that crappie are elusive?
Things are not too good. Water was down a good 4 to 5 feet. Trouble putting in and taking out. All my good crappie trees were mostly out of water. I know this isn't a crappie but thought it counted a little.I was crappie fishing with a crappie jig, ultra light tackle and 4# test line. Total count, 3 sun fish, 2 LMB and this toothy critter. Not one of my better trips!! Does anyone know how the water levels are at Pymatuning?launching is not a problem??

Pymy ramp at Jamestown is good to go. Bite was a little slow because of high wind but still took home 8 nice crappies.

I was there 2 weeks ago when on my Erie Steehhead trip. We went for carp with our fly rods. Landed one and lost one. Steelhead were tough for several reasons so we took the day off and did the carp thing. First I have fished in in about 10 years. I remember going there as a kid and feeding bread to them. Always a good time!
