    Default Anyone fish last Saturday?

Since Saturday's weather was calling for a pretty good day I decided to head to my local lake again. Ended up with some decent perch and a few crappie. Caught some bluegill, plus I must have caught 7 or 8 bass too. The bass ranged from about 9" to 15" and put up a pretty good fight on ultra-light tackle. This particular lake has a good number of decent sized perch and enough crappie to keep it interesting. It is a big bass lake and they are caught on a regular basis, too. I was thinking that if we get together for some ice fishing this winter that perhaps we could schedule one for this lake.

Good day fishing. I'm certain that we'd all like to icefish a lake with perch that nice. Count me in.

Good job Zeke! as Chaunc said, catching big perch thru the ice is always a good time.

Crappierod, when the ice happens, you need to keep checking the posts to see. Trust me, they will post when it is to happen.

    Crappierod,
Like S10 said, someone will probably post when a fish-together is scheduled. The location usually changes since the gang likes to try various lakes. I am looking forward to ice fishing again for the first time in about 20 yrs. I have a friend who lives near Joseph Sayers Lake and he is an avid ice fisherman. He wants to come and fish with us whenever we get-together. I went out to fish with him this summer at Joseph Sayers. We caught so many crappie I got tired catching them. The problems is that we only caught a couple legal ones since they have a 9" minimum. Most we 8 1/2".
