Ky lake trip 2013
Had the pleasure to spend a little over a month on vacation at Ky lake, crappie fishing. From march 16 til april 17. This being the 26th year of me traveling there, i had a pretty good idea of the areas that i thought would be holding some early season slabs and i thought right. I also had the chance to fish with a couple Crappie.com " legends " a few times. M R Dux and Whiskers. These guys were a blast to fish with. One longline trolls and the other spider rigs, so i got to fish some new ways. M R dux even hang-glided with me from my boat. We caught some very nice fish on each time out. Enjoyed spider rigging with Whiskers. Had to cut it short when the wind made boat control to difficult to fish effectivly but we changed tactics to 2 poleing deep brushpiles and picked up quite a few more. Gonna have to use that tactic on my home lakes this spring. I also met and fished Ben Cox from the Kenlake marina group. Real nice day on the water as we fished my boat. Got 34 that day. Met numerous new friends and enjoyed sharing time with the old friends too. By far, this was the best time i've had in all the years i've been going there. Hopefully, i'll get back in May for a weekend of redear and bluegill fishing. Thanks everyone for the hospitality and invites to come back and fish with you. I have a lot of pics but i'll only post enuff to peek your interest in making the trip there when you get an oppertunity to go.

Should have stopped over and introduced yourself. Would have really enjoyed meeting some more CDC members. We could have compared notes on the better spots. Hope you had as good a time as i did.
