went across causeway this a.m. I no lake is flood control but cant ever recall seeing drawn down this much. west side bay by launch looks empty. sure hope this will be able to recover quick. thats alot of water to recoop in my opinion.R we still contributing to getting the drought stricken rivers up?Figured with all the weather in midwest and snow up north it would be back into shape.

Yes it is pretty low. At this point, don't know what to think, but hope they let it rise here really soon. It could make for a tuff fishing season, and it could affect the spawn of all the species.

Now's the good time to go to the lake. Time to go and build some small honey holes. If you build small brush piles they will be 7-8 feet down when the water comes back. Take a camera with you and take pictures of the shoreline and mark them down. Add gps co-ordinates and you'll have a winning recipe for success. A couple bundles of cheap dollar store line and some brush and a knife is all you need. All ready have placed 12 piles so far this year in places no one would think of fishing. Depending upon the type of brush placed they should last 2-5 years.

Greg, don't get caught. There's a few guys that put their own brush in every year. Just don't get caught doing it. See you when I get back from vacation.
