Default Anyone launch from the Shenango campground launch in recent days??

Thinking about coming up early next week weather permitting and hopefully with some increase to the water level. Anyone successfully launching from the campground in recent days? We'll either have a basic 14' or a 17' bass boat with us. Smitty, you are too quiet! Crappie got your tongue??

Not doing a lot of fishing on shenango. Pymatuning bite is two times better. Was at shenango last thursday and caught 10 keepers out of around 25. No trouble getting my boat in or out. Been avaraging 20 keepers at Pymy. Got over 30 today.

Well done Smitty. I knew you would be catching them somewhere. We just don't know that Jamestown end of Pymie all that well. It seems like a good time to do some searching on Shenango and mark some waypoints for future reference.

The lake is down over 6 ft from summer pool. Be careful, they have put out more buoys, marking more shallow water.

I saw those bouys today and i also saw the COE running their boat thru them like they were practicing boat control manuveres. So they're not marking shallow water. Had a decent day today fishing the stumpfield by the launch. Caught a lot of crappies that were too small to keep. Had about a dozen that were big enough to keep but i didn't feel like cleaning many so i only kept 3. 1 was 13 3/4 and the other 2 were 14 1/2 and 15. Out of the probably, 60 i caught today, these were enough for me.

Top notch Smitty. Plenty there for some nice coconut crappie sandwiches. Okay, you can skip the coconut if you like. I can't wait to wet a line some where.

That there looks YUMMY!!! Was going by what the neighbors told me about the buoys. Then learned that your correct, it was for certifying new people on how to handle boats. Was at the lake yesterday walking around looking at how far down the water is. Looks like it might be down almost seven feet now.

Went up saturday and had one of the best big fish days of this year. Caught well over 50 but only kept 6. All over 13 with 5 of them almost 15. Jigs over brush. Hang-glided.

That hang-gliding is an awesome technique. I need to do more of that.
