    Default Who are we?

Hey there fellow PA Crappie chasers. Where do you hale from? How about a "Who's Who?" of the Crappie dot Com PA forum.

I'm from just north of Punxsutawney. Been chasin' slabs off and on for about 30 years! Sheese that's a long time. Yep,I'm no kid at 49 years young. We got our start back in the early 80s when we bought our first boat,a 14' Mirro Craft. Oh we tricked it out some and came to the crappie in short order. What a blast it was! We'd quite often be doubled up and trying to decide who was going to get the net, lol. Good eatin' too. We moved on to a 16ft Smoker Craft after a time. Got side tracked now and then with Bass fishing. Love those bass ,but thet can't compare to a good brushpile full of crappie. Back in the day it was minners and corks for us. Then the whole new family thing came to us. I've been away from boat fishing for too long now,and plan a return. My wife caught a couple this spring bank fishing, and exclaimed "We need another boat!" I miss chasin'those papermouths and look forward to hooking up again soon.

That's pretty much the Mindog story. Anyone else want to jump in?

I'm from Chambersburg in south central PA. I got hooked on crappies a few years ago up at Sayers lake. I still fish bass when I can, but I love a mess of those slabs.

Used to live in Columbus, OH. and we had several really nice Crappie lakes there. My wife is from western Mo. and I learned crappie fishing on Truman Res. as my bro-in-law kicked my butt every trip out. Now, I fish Blue Marsh primarily for crappie although I keep trying to give Marburg a shot without alot of luck. Marburg has too much veg on the bottom and the water is gin clear. Dang fish see me coming long before my sonar sees them.. lol
