    had to run out and pay a bill so decided to stop at a local pond, it was windy as all heck but they were biting. stayed bout half an hour before my daughter started complaining bout the cold.i was aiming to get me some more redears but ended up with this instead in my redear spot. got 7 total and lost a few more smallest went 10 biggest was just at 13

    John, that's a pretty good trade for some red ears....probably got a good amount of meat of those big fellas. Glad you had a good catch!

    My favorite is the redear, just curious what bait/lure/jig turned your crappie on while fishing for redear. I have fished my redear spots 2 days and got skunked both days. Beautiful weather, no fish. Need to put some meat on the table, got the grease and no fresh fish.

    waxies.. went today and got 1 crappie thats it but was only there for bout 40 minutes was really cold and had daughter with me

    He John, know how you feel. After getting skunked 2 days in a row, I got night crawlers and me and wife caught 6 big redear and 3 bluegill yesterday. Yummy, will get fish for lunch today.
