    gillchaser999,
All these fish were caught in Illinois, except for the bottom photo of the Shellcracker. It was caught at Kentucky Lake.

Where do you do most of your Gill fishing?

Here is a picture of a 2lb. 1 oz. Hybrid Green Sunfish I caught several years ago in Illinois! Was using my own #8 "Wades Blades" jigs tipped with a waxworm.

Most of my gillfishing is done here in Georgia within an hours drive of where I live. I fish a lot of ponds and medium size water reservoirs . I catch a lot on 1/80th micro jigs I tie myself . A black wooly booger pattern has been my best producer , fished under a weighted float . gillchaser

Size: 48.0 KB I finally broke my own record last week and forgot my scale. (ugh!) I'm pretty sure it's my biggest. Keith tied his best and then broke his own record three times. The new Trout-Panfish Road Runner in CopperCorn and Yellow Coach Dog were the best colors in this tannic water. Another great morning at King Fisher Society.

Wow that one's a monster! Approximately where at in Alabama do you catch them that size? I mainly fish north Alabama, mostly in Lake Guntersville, and I haven't managed any that size yet. Of course I don't fish for bluegill nearly as much as I do for crappie and bass, so that's probably my main problem lol.

I'm with you pancakeface. Crappie and Spots get most of my efforts too. King Fisher Society is a private fishing lodge in NC. The best money I've ever spent.
Crappiemasters is coming to Lake Guntersville next month. I hope to see you there.

One of my new fishing buddies with his biggest bluegill. Caught it all by himself on a 16" long black racer, still in it's mouth. I'm pretty sure it's bigger than his head. I left my scales at home that day, but what ya'll think it'll weigh? As you can see, he's holding it close to his body so it's much larger than it actually appears :D :D :D
