The only thing I ever use is the Rooster Tail in firetiger. I go fishing on the Brazos River here in Texas, and that lure just tears em up. I call it my "Brazos Bomber."

    Default bream baits

1 ligon bream killer (black w/white legs)
2 1/32 oz beetle spin (black w/chart stripes)
3 1/80 grizzly tipped with waxworm or powerbait

if they won't hit those better go home or go git dem crickets. During the spawn I belive you can catch just as many on artificials. If the water is more dingy than normal live bait definitely works better for me. I get alot of short strikes if the water is ditier than whatever is normal for that area.

Here are a couple of flies that work well on panfish and bass.
