    Default Just an observation

Got a chance to fish the docks for forty five minutes this morning.
We’ve been having rain showers off and on for the past couple days .
This morning it sprinkled on my windshield as I drove to the lake .
It continued a light sprinkle , but quit after abour ten minutes.
I only caught five gills today with it being overcast .
I’ve noticed my catch rate is a lot lower when the sun isn’t shining.
    Anyone else notice this ?
I mean they are called sunfish .
Combo today was an older black 5’ St Croix Triumph paired with a Shimano Soare XR500spg spooled with 2# P-line Trout HP line .
This was my first time trying out the Trout line . It cast great . Seems to be a little stiffer than Floroclear and the stats says it’s thinner , but it looks thicker . And it’s has a shiny finish.
Jury still out on this one .
I did catch one nice gill , the rest were dinks , including a small redbreast that flopped out of my hand but I was still able to snap a quick pic of it in the water .

I have never observed this myself. I do however notice an improvement in the bass and crappie bite in rain especially on clear lakes.
