Default Redear are doing their thing

Found a huge bed of big redear this afternoon. I kept 14 fish and could've easily had my limit. I hit it just right as the females were inside some of the nests doing whatever it is they do. Looked to be a lot of grinding for lack of a better word. I did catch several females and they spewed eggs; they were released immediately.

I think I'll go after work tomorrow.

Wow, that's a mess of big ears. Great eating and drag rippers. They are on the beds here too. Catch one off a bed and they go on high alert. Then I have 30-40 looking at me, can't get another. Definitely smarter than a bluegill.

Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

How long were the bigger redear? Didn't get weights on my two biggest redear in Missouri but both hit 13". My biggest redear from Havasu was 17".
