Let me add , I’m not against folks taking home a mess of fish .
I’ve been thinking of bringing a few home myself ,
I talking about the boats with two guys taking home a limit (100 fish) , and they’re back the next day loading up again . Sometimes I’ve seen them take a limit home and go back in the afternoon .
Then the following year , they can’t understand where all the fish have gone .
I’ve actually had a guy tell me they caught limits the year before but can’t find any this year .
It takes 4-5 years , under ideal conditions , for a bluegill to grow to an eight incher . Six years for a nine incher , maybe a ten incher , if it has the right genetics .

Hopefully , Ketchn you had some cool weather come through that ran them off the beds .

I’ve started focusing on the two large resivours beside me. I’m not seeing many people focusing on catching bream or shellcracker. Still wish the daily limit would decrease to thirty. Now crappie get hammered in both. Wish Lake Oconee had a ten inch size limit for crappie.

It’s amazing how some folks just clean everything out, especially the casual fishing weekenders. That’s the way of it…
