    Default Over the weekend

I fished both days with good results. I’ve already posted about yesterday on the FL forum so I won’t beat that horse again but the SIL and I had to see if there were any left. There was plenty. First stop was some gills and the second some crappie, some of those were real nice. Third stop was more gills and Mike scored an above average redbreast all lit up and pretty. Fished from near 8 til the wind ran us off just after 11. Total fish was about 50 and not a one came home. Mike warmed right up to shooting up under all the junk and hang ups were few. A very good trip out and NiNo came along to say hello and join the fun. Plenty to go around. This was the best weekend for gills since last summer wound down. I might have gotten one or two that past the ten inch mark but lots were over nine. The Phenix ultra light couldn’t move most of em til they were ready. This is going to be a real good summer. Only a couple of pics from today, I was having too much fun to remember to take any.Name: IMG_5080.jpg

And I guess I can do this standing on my head. Someone please straighten up my pics, thank you.

Great trip. When you get on a roll and really start slinging them it's easy to forget to take pics.

Chaser, a ten inch gill makes a sammich with one side but it’s kinda thin. If you face the other fillet the other direction, NOW we have an official sammich. A piece of lettuce and a big mater and some mayo really tops it off. Bad part is I can’t bring myself to harvest many of these fish and a 10 always gets a pass. However, a half of one side of a good gill makes a dandy taco. And I’m making myself hungry, I gotta stop.
