    Default 45 minutes

That’s all it took to make my day. Caught the first one at 9 and the last of these at 9:45. 1/43 #8 and a trout magnet was what they wanted. Third cast was the first one and I was surprised at the fight. Haven’t found any like these yet this year and they gave me what for. A couple of these were almost black, much darker than usual. The one was almost ten inches and hit like a cracker, pulling drag that was a bit tighter than usual. Hoping that y’all get out and find a few soon.

Tight lines y’all. There was a few shorts and a few crappie that showed up but these were the stars. Hopefully a welcome start to my bluegill summer.

We have red breast here but not colored like that. Those are fantastic.

Side note; what rod is that?

Beautiful colors on that one pan. The tannin in the water really does affect the color.

I went to the river today to see what’s up. It was a numbers day, must’ve caught 60. Most were short but a few were of size including a couple of mudfish. Are any of them small? Anyway, the real star was a Warmouth that was at least 3/4lb. Thought it was a largemouth. Here’s a couple of pics, I hope.
