Tough conditions. Good job
Dropped my wife off at the hairdresser and went fishing at Lake McIntosh.
Conditions were terrible. Water was stained pretty bad and the wind was 17 mph gusting to 26 .
Did a lot of gusting while I attempted to twitch a jig .
I went to the left side of the dock so I could cast with the wind .
The Daiwa braid I was using was wind blown all over the place .
On my first cast I caught a nice shellcracker that put a good bend in my 6’3” Abu Garcia MB3 four piece rod .
I was glad I had a four pound Floroclear leader so I could lift the shellcracker over the rail.
It took a few minutes and several casts to catch my next fish , a small redbreast .
Just before my time was up I caught a juvenile crappie .
With the conditions, I was pleased with the results.
The cracker made the trip worth it .
Glad it’s warmed up to where I can enjoy local short trips .
I need to check out the town pond soon .

Well buddy, ifn you’re only gonna get one cracker make it a good one. And you did! They always make me happy. Glad to hear your short trips are back. Wish I could get by with one now and then. Hope you get out again soon.
