    Default Gill trip

Fished the river for a couple hours and jumped over to small lake to see if gills were moving. With the warm weather the past couple days wanted to see if there was any activity and as soon as I got there saw bluegill everywhere in the clear water close to the surface taking advantage of the sunshine. Water is cold but fish were active. Caught about 20 or so in 1.5 hours on tiny jigs tipped with wax worms, several were over 8". Name: IMG_4877.jpg

Wax tipped soft jigs is one of my favorite baits. Glad you had a good trip.
