A beautiful day except for the wind .
Arrived around 11 and left just before four .
The lake was up about a foot but still very stained .
My first catch was an odd catch for this lake , a yellow perch, which was the beginning of five straight different species caught . I ended up with six different species.
Yellow perch , spotted bass , crappie , green sunfish ,shellcracker , and bluegill .I felted like I struggled to catch the ten total fish today . 3 bass, two bluegills, two green sunfish, a crappie , a shellcracker , and a perch .
Just shows the versatility of fishing the Trout Magnet .
Every fisherman I spoke with had a tough day .
My buddy only caught a small green sunfish up until our last stop , where he caught two nice spotted bass on his roostertail to save his day .
My rod combos today were a 6’ TFO T&P UL paired with a Shimano Soare XR 500spg , and 5’6” St Croix Premier paired with a Shimano Sahara 500 with a Nasci spool .
Both were spooled with Daiwa J-Braid X8 and 4# Floroclear leaders .
Except for battling the wind, it was a great day and with the full moon , I expected to do better.
A fun but challenging day.
