Nice. Thanks for the walk along.

Met up with my fishing buddy today around 11am and fished till around 4pm .
Weather was sunny , low to upper 50’s with a variable but tolerable wind .
Problem was it got down close to freezing last night and we had a cold rain the day before .
Water was stained and cold and still low . I read on line the surface temp was 47 .
I took a few combos but only caught fish on one . A 5’4” St Croix , old model panfish series paired up with a Shimano Soare BB 500spg , spooled up with grey , Daiwa X8 J-braid Grand with a P-line Floroclear leader .
I caught two fish in almost five hours of casting and my buddy managed to keep the skunk off with an almost last minute small bluegill.
My fish was a small green green sunfish caught on a Trout Magnet and a decent UL spotted bass , caught on a Bobby Garland shad .
The catching was a little slow today , but it was great to spend time with my fishing and old hunting buddy .
Warmer water and better conditions are coming, I’m happy with whatever keeps the skunk away .

Sounds like a good day to go fishing. Good job and any fish is better than no fish.

Any day fishing this time of year is a happy day. Chasing the skunk off is even better. I blanked my last trip to the coast, guess I’m kinda licking my wounds now. Having to work every other Saturday doesn’t help. I don’t like my boss.
