It was an eye opener for me , 2 foot under a float in a spot that was the dead sea the last 2 visits .....
MAN did we hammer some big ole winter time bluegill in high numbers .....
really small jigs tipped with a crappie nibble
3 foot of water, out to about 5 ....
good stuff for sure
2 hours of getting bit EVERY cast ,first to last ,,,,NO JOKE !

if you look hard about an hour west of ft worth ,south of I20 about 30 miles there is a lake with 2 islands in it .
this lake is called Clapp Lake and my friend owns the ranch it is on , he has several bulldozers and has been building holes to ketch fish in for years out there .
last count was around 20 impoundments on his properties , he built 4 new ones last year on the new addition of 100 acres he bought from the neighbor .
he stocks them with several species of fish ,he rarely fishes these days , but his family and a few friends like myself love the results .
