JUST WOW what an ENORMOUS SKUNK !
The plan was pretty simple
I know where they are is what I told my wife
She said I want to go ketch some too
We got there and sure enough , they was biting FAST !
She had me down 3 or 4 to 1 really FAST >>>>
But it wasn't what we wanted to go ketch darnit ....
We was after crappie ....they was our target species ....
They was all gone .....
BUT good news is this ...
Herds of big fat bluegill replaced them and saved the day ....
We ONLY ketched bluegill and one large red ear ....
not a bass or crappie in the mix ...
go figure ...
2 foot under a float was king
number 10 jighead and no plastic on it ....
just a white crappie nibble AND ....
SET THE HOOK !
boy howdy did we hammer them darn fast ....
stopped at 51 , storms were coming in late in the day out there
KABOOM is near my friends
p.s. we were just dropping off Christmas gifts and asked if we could play in the lake a bit before we left .....giving and receiving thing ...
