    Default Warm morning

Warm a little breezy , and cloudy when I arrived around eleven this morning .
Low to mid sixties. Sun even peeked out a couple times , but mostly cloudy .
Fishing my 6’6” St Croix Avid UL and Presso 1000 lt p-g I thought it was going to be another slow morning the first hour .
I mainly fished my new favorite lure , a tungsten beadhead jig with a mini trout magnet , I’d only caught three the first hour .
Then thinking the fish may have moved shallow if the warm night warmed up the water any .
I started picking up fish in one of the corners of the dam near the overflow where a large flat covers the corner.
I ended up catching ten more bluegill, bass, and my favorite shellcrackers .
I’ll take 13 fish in two hours this time of the year .
My biggest shellcracker was just over 9” and three of the bluegills were just under 8” .

    This is my jig .
It’s a size 10 Mustad Ultrapoint hook , 4mm slotted tungsten bead , three turns of black chenille to fill in part of the hook shank to put the hook bend between the Mini Trout Magnet body .
I use different colors . Today I used white , chartreuse, and this is an olive one dyed with a Zoom chartreuse marker pen , that adds scent to the jig also .
On a good cast I can cast this 55-60’ .

Youve got em figured out. I like the jig but I like the crackers more.
