    Default Saturday on the creek

We've been really fortunate with the weather here in Ohio lately. A start to December with temperatures in the mid 50s. The creek is low and clear from lack of rain but the fish are still biting. Ended up with a mixed bag of about 3 dozen. Couldn't find any sunfish but the crappie, bass and carp were biting. Used the 5ft Aji Do 5G with the Abu Garcia 1000s spooled with 2lb fluorocarbon and 5'4 Shimano Soare SS and Shimano Complex with 2lb test izorline. Keitech easy shiner and a small olive trout worm were the baits of the day. Oh and completed the Ohio Master Angler certification by catching 4 different species that represent exceptional catches.

I’d have to learn to fish water that clear. Down here the visibility improves but never loses its iced tea looking tint. A very good mixed bad of some studly fish. The smallies always make me smile. Good Job!

What a nice trip. Thanks for the ride along. That carp could tow the kayak!
