Getting to that time of year .
Congrats on the six !
It was 70 here today and I only got seven.
Only 6 fish today: bass, crappie, sunfish and yellow perch.
Wind all day, gusting to 20 mph with little shelter from it or the wind chill of less than 55 degrees!
I could see fish on the sonar in deeper water, but no bites regardless how small or how slow the lure moved. Hopefully there will be better days before winter settles in.

One thing about this small lake: it has a lot of structure and is surrounded by hills. Many flats that come way out, submerged rock walls, stteep drops, fallen trees, stumps, etc. I haven't fished it since last year and forgot how well the fishing could be in Nov. Good thing I keep photo logs.
In general, 55 degree water in April has produced far more fish than 50 degrees in Nov.
Included is the terrain map and a reminder of how green the water gets in summer.
The other lake I fished recently is large and flat. Only 1 perch that day and far more difficult to find fish after the pads die.

I find the same to be true for me most of the time with water warming the fish seem to act better, when the lower air and water temps start the bite slows down for me

Funny though, if I hadn't caught any fish, I probably would have hung it up for the year. But all it tooks was half a dozen fish and now I can't wait to go back and discover more spots using different lures - but only if the air temp is tolerable and the wind under 15 mph.
But one thing the outing proved once again: fish are cold-blooded and even a slight elevation in water temperature, like what m.t.hands observed, can get fish more active.
