The night temps for the past three days has been in the low thirties with highs in the day in the low to mid fifties .
Today we waited and met up at noon , it was 55 when we reach the lake with some wind .
It made it up to the mid sixties by the time we left at 4 .
The fishing was tough .
I only caught two bass , two green sunfish, a shellcracker, a redbreast hybrid , and a small bluegill .
My fishing buddy didn’t do much at all , two green sunfish on the flyrod , jigging rocks .
I had one bass about a pound get off and had something grab my jig and is still going .
My 2# line for over a foot was rough like it rubbed up against something .
I used a 5’6” St Croix avid ULF paired with a Shimano Soare XR 500 and a 6’3” Abu Garcia MB3 paired with a Shimano Soare BB c2000sspg
All were caught on my hand tied tungsten bead jigs .
It was still fun to get out .
