Default Fall wisdom for Bream ?

What depth water do you target in the fall ? lets say less than 5 ft . 5-10 ft , or over 10 ft . looking for quality not numbers ?

I’m no help yet. The river I fish is real high and the fish are out in the woods. River current is real strong also so anything I might find is somewhere out of the current, maybe in an eddy. I just go back to me search baits and start at the beginning.

I can get numbers in five to ten but for size I fish humps in twelve foot to get them. I also get a mixed catch doing this. Have to keep my bait right on bottom.

I catch most of my bigger fish in deeper water, 15 to 20 feet or more.

Yesterday the fish were in shallow and easy to catch using a 1/32 oz jig and soft plastics with spike tail. A Beetle Spin with straight tail pastic grub also caught fish in the pads in water 2' or less. Note: the water in the lake I fish was lowered 6' for dam repair.
Fish were seen deeper on sonar but not catchable but not bad in shallow water: 54 fish Wed., 69 fish yesterday.
