Nice Saturday on the water
Got out yesterday afternoon and hit the pond again. Caught the crappie on my second cast. I was using 3 Fenwick Elite Light Finesse Rods. Two had kastking kestrel sfs reels with 5lb power pro and the other had an abu garcia zenon 1000s with 3lb phenix braid. Most of the fish were in 20 to 30 feet of water. Lures used were the 2 inch power swimmer, lunker city hellgramite 1.5 and a case plastics micro jack worm. The majority of my catch was on the last bait.
Mixed Bag of approximately 40 sunfish and crappie.
That was the first time using the phenix braid and I must say it is good stuff. No break offs or wind knots in 5 hours of fishing.
