    Default Week end trips

I fished two different lakes this weekend catching close to 100 total for both days. Second day hooked a little gill on the second cast and it didn't make it in before the bass ate it. Using the 1/48 chub with a #10 sickle tied with duck feathers and tipped with a wax worm. Bluegill at first lake had really bright orange bellies. Funny how colors are different from lake to lake.

Thanks everyone. Never caught a Bass on a bluegill before this year although I've had them attack gills many times over the years. This year when they hit I open the bail and let them run around with it for awhile before attempting a hook set. Caught five this year and two of them were giants. Lot's of fun on ultralight. Redear have been scarce this year.

Nice fish and better numbers. Glad you’re getting to go before the weather turns cold. Hard to get enthused when you can’t feel your fingers. You’re going to be hand feeding those bass before long.
