    Default played with the river bream


    could see them in the bedding area and just off it hovering ....
    had to pitch at them a few times ...
    managed 15 or so and a small bass .....
    good stuff about a foot under a small float with a small jighead .....
    KABOOM is near

    thats about the maximum size in the river , they just run small down there
    once in a blue moon a fish or 2 exceed that size , but they are about it most visits
    one or 2 were a bit bigger but looked really poor and beat up ..

    The bluegills run small in the lake I fish and they really aren't that easy to find. Especially ones with any size. Fortunately, Crappie are everywhere, plenty of big ones too !

    crappie likely be keeping the numbers in check .....maybe ...
    one lake i like is that way , hardly ketch bluegill and they max out about the size of river bluegill
    but the lake teams with solid crappie ....
