Default Chance to wet a line

Have not had much of a chance to go lately, so I was at our property and future home site and wife decided to come over and fish a little, when I finished up some tractor work we both got to fish a little and while we caught quite a few fish most were about 1/2 the size of the one pictured below, Adding a few bass to help with the "over-population" we had a lot less action from the nibblers, I put 10 10-12" bass in the pond and it seems to have really helped

    That’s a pretty shellcracker!
Wish I could get my wife to fish with me again sometimes .
She fished a lot when we first got married but once our daughter was born , she gradually stopped going .
Daughter’s forty , I think it’s time for her to start back .

Nice catch. Those bass should help keep them in check.

Beautiful fish there. It’s always nice when one’s better half joins in on the catching. Thanks for sharing with us

Good looking cracker and a happy wife, don’t get much better. A few of those and dinner just started looking better.

Mine went through a little "lull" I believe it was too much bass fishing, she love(s)(ed) that too, especially a good topwater bite, but she hated fishing a Jig, and I'm a flipper, but I think she is more into catchin, one hot day in September the stripe were going crazy, and the bass were SLOWWWW, so I asked her if she wanted to have some fun, pulled out a couple of silver buddy's and we went to town, she asked what the limit was and we'd been "boxing them up" so I counted them up and we liked two fish having a limit, we did this several afternoons, and I realized, I was taking the Bass fishing a little to seriously fishing 8 days a week and tournaments like 2-5 a week, then we started panfishing, catfishing, and chasin rabbits instead of deer all the time, we really enjoy those things now, they are simple, w/o all the "extra stuff that came into play if you're trying to stay in the bass fishing game, I still like to bass fish and deer hunt, but 90% of my fishing is panfish, and the deer hunting is all archery,

I hope you can get the Misses back into it, to tell you the truth, I get more joy watching her or the Grandkids when they catch a good one

Nice, redeared sunfish, m.t.! I'm same, happy the wife still fishes once in a while, but our only daughter gone cold turkey on us. Ever since she turned 12 she'd rather catch Pokémon on the Go...lol.

Y’all are lucky that your wives go long. Over 40 years together and mine has been in my boat less than ten times, fear of the water. She won’t tell me no but stays home. Still wouldn’t trade her.
