Default A Cracker of a morning

I got to lake McIntosh this morning around 9:30 . It was partly cloudy to sunny , with temps in the low 70’s . A little breeze , 7mph with occasional gusts to 16 .
I took my 6’3” Abu Garcia MB3 , paired up with a Shimano Soare XR 500spg and 2# Floroclear.
I like this combo a lot . Light as a feather and casts great .
My main lures were hand tied jigs , most were mine , but I tried one I’d been sent by a friend from CDC , that caught one of the bigger shellcracker, the biggest until my last one .
Anybody recognize this jig ? Thanks Skeet !
Fishing was slow , but mostly what I caught were shellcrackers of various sizes .
I only caught eleven today with a few “ nice ones “ but no monsters .
I left a little after noon after the temperature had climbed to 80 , and the holiday folks had started showing up .

    That's a nice one.

Glad they’re working for you, and thanks for the good words. It’s a simple thing but I like em. Those are some nice lookin crackers and they are my favorites, I just can’t find em regularly. That might be one of my Matzuo sickles in that jig too but I’m not sure. They sure stick. Hope it lasts extra long before it finds a tree.

Tim , I’ve got some 1/80 jigs with red Matzuo sickle hooks that I use to tie on for float n jig fishing .
They’re sharper than Eagle Claw lil Nasties .
Im thinking of removing the lead and adding a Tungsten bead .
