    Default Way out there

the casts are all the way to the other side of the river , the bite is best on that side , the bank on that side is treacherous, so this side is where I stand ....
of course my intended victims are NOT river bream , but they often play with the like size crappie deep in the river channel .
sure can make crappie ketchn tough though ....
the crappie are not much larger than the bluegill ,so its a challenge to hook any of them ....
they been busy pecking this last week or so down there ,miss most of them ,but some get to come visit for a photo once in while ....

Those fish look good to me. The water starts to cool I’m thinkin that those crappie might get some of their bigger cousins to come visit. Sounds like a good trip to me.

Lost 2 larger fish that visit , one was a solid crappie on the surface midstream , the other might have been a bruiser quality crappie but it came undone within just a few reel turns as it was pulling drag ….
