    Default Mixed bag morning

Got out yesterday morning and fished a lake that I hadn't fished since spring. Really good numbers lake for Bass, crappie and Bluegill and yesterday didn't disappoint although it was a slow start and took two hours to catch fish #10. Wind picked up and so did the bite, caught 35-40 in the next two hours fishing in the shade sitting on my cooler. Nothing big but first crappie was close to 12", didn't measure it, but my biggest in months. 50/50 ratio of crappie and gills with a half dozen bass under 12" mixed in, Soare got the majority on 1/48 duck feather jigs.

Good lookin fish Jim. Sittin on a cooler in the shade is a good way to spend a few hours. Good catch numbers, maybe the full moon coming on has something to it. Hope you get out again soon.

I wear a fitbit and on an average trip I'll average 6-8000 steps. That morning I was under 3500 which means I had a good day and didn't have to move around much. In the last year I average 9000 steps a day, over four miles. Still getting around pretty good at 65 years old, hopefully have a lot more fishing days left.
