    Default Stayed closer

Took a little road trip last weekend but stayed closer this weekend. No clouds in the forecast early in the day so we knew that the heat would build fast and it did just that. We found a lot more crappie this week over past weeks. Lots of them small but they were out of the current that is stronger now than in past weeks due to the almost daily rain machine. I’ve got a few pics of NiNo holding a couple of good ones but I can’t post em. Too much in the background. In about 6:45 and out about 10:30. I brought 4 rods and he brought 2. Each of mine caught fish but they all needed attention by the end of the day. A leader, body reglued or something before they could be used again. Nino got a couple of nice Crappie and a few more good bluegill to go with them. We both caught a good amount and thought about keeping the good crappie but they all got a pass. We both went home with a smile and with vacation next week this may be just a warm up. Here’s a few pics, hope to see you out soon…..Skeet Name: IMG_4572.jpg

    Nice fish !
We have a Wildlife Management Area lake about an hour and half away from me that stocked some coppernose BG’s in it .
When it cools off , I need to see if my Rav4 will drag my little Jon boat that far and try and catch me some .
