Good job. I like it when a jig works and I don’t have to work trying to find that one they will hit.
I hadn’t been fishing in a few days , so I took off this morning for lake McIntosh , hoping the shady spot on the end of the dock was vacant .
I got there about 9:30 and was able to get my spot .
I fished an hour and a half standing in the shade casting around the end covering around 200 degrees.
Fishing with my 6’3” Abu Garcia MB3 rod and Shimano Soare c2000sspg reel and two pound line .
I used a variety of mini trout magnets , regular trout magnets , a a black Bobby Garland Itty bit Swim’r . All on a homemade tungsten jig . After a few fish , the bead would sometimes slide on the hook shaft , but I’d just push the bait and bead back forward .
I used the same jig all morning.
I ended up with 11 small gills and shellcrackers, and one small bass that ate the BG Swim’r .
Biggest fish of the day was a shellcracker about 7” . Love the attitude of these fish , even the small ones.
I’m happy to see a good population of redears in this lake .

Nice fish...got to love the red-ears. Heat has had me locked down for a week now.
