    Default Micro Fishing McIntosh

Fishing from what shoreline available lately , I’ve been catching a few little guys only .
So, I figured this morning, I’d target them and see what happens.
Fishing my 6’ Abu Garcia Mass Beat 3 UL paired up with a Carbon X 500 reel and Floroclear line .
I tried a micro spinner for a few casts and caught a couple green sunfish .
That’s when I switched to the Mini Trout Magnet with the 1/200th TM jighead .
Started off with black , but when the bite slowed down I switched to orange , then chartreuse, and finished up the day with pink . All of them caught fish .
I ended up with 41 small bluegills, two green sunfish, and a small warmouth.
In less than two hours I landed 44 .
As I’ve said before, size doesn’t matter to me . If it puts a bend in my rod , I’m happen .

I took a few pics today of fish that still had some chartreuse in their tails out of the water.
I think the trick was , if they fought a little in the water , they’d get excited or stressed , and the colors would pop .

Pretty fish. There are very few of us who don’t really care of the size of the fish. I’m happy many times just to get out and feel some thumps. I tried to fish today. Went out to Henry Gray Wildlife Refuge and pulled in and no water! I guess it’s normal for that place to get low or lose water in the summer.

    Regards

Once I gained an UL mindset, Alpha, I no longer stress or care over the size of fish I catch. However as a multispecies enthusiast, I do sometimes feel missing out just by not living in the midwest where I can atleast explore. Good chatting!

I’ve also noticed more enjoyment out of just a bent rod. The areas I fish lately have some good ones and those I post a lot. But for every one of those there’s sometimes 2 or more little fellers, sometimes only a couple a trip. I also think that the #8 hook I use doesn’t let some of the smaller ones connect. Some of my smalls have the lure t boned in their mouth. Short lives matter!
