    Default 3-minute fish!

Lately LV has been blessed with daytime sprinkle, which inadvertently brought down the mercury a tad. After work yesterday I saw my hour of opportunity to see some multispecies of fish this pond been known to hold. Armed with something a little unconventional (pun intended): a home-made ultralight casting rod attached to a Abu conventional baitcaster, just for kicks. Caught 6 Bluegills, 8 carps, 1 green sunfish and 7 channel cats....AND 1 feline, that took 3 minutes plus to land! Name: 20230810_140023.jpg

Size 14 dry flies for Bluegills and green sunfish. Then tip piece of squid for carp and catfish for scent.

Gill, the rod is only 3ft long and came from a spare top section of a cheap Chinese ultralight spinner....Name: 20230810_135743.jpg
