I took these two pictures today while fishing at the creek at the old mill .
One , was with my iphone uncovered, the other I tried to use my polarized sunglasses as a filter.
I think they are carp . There were at least fifteen of them , all facing a back current .
You’ll have to look close , but I think you’ll be able to see them .

Neat pics and a good experiment. Now I have to start looking for a filter for my phone or the stuff to redneck engineer one. I’ve tried to take a few pics in the water and the glare killed them.

Suckers or carp probably. Would certainly be fun with ultralight gear. Garden hackle, "WORMS" should get you hooked up. Hope they aren't Big head carp. They are everywhere around here.

Gill, seeing you posting creek fishing lately and the fact that you practically started on the discussion of microfishing and photography (one im a big fan of), have you thought of dragging a size 26 or greater beaded nymph flies under these murky prime piece of water and truly see what's biting? Reading many fishing articles of all styles, your neck of the woods rivers hold hundreds of such beauty as the rainbow darters, shiner species and colorful daces just to name a few, be truly epic just to see their photos on these CDC pages. Just out of curious of course. Cheers!

I haven’t fished anything that small , but I’ve thrown some beaded nymphs on my two weight flyrod .
Caught several varieties of sunfish and caught a nice shoal bass on a size 10 woolybooger.
Best fight was a channel catfish of about two pound that hit a Montana Stonefly nymph and covered every inch of that creek twice . The second time I worked it back to a point where I could see what it was , the hook pulled out .
Had my clicker fly reel singing .
I need to fish my flyrod more . This is the time of year I usually fish it , when the fishing gets tough .
Glad you like the little fish . Matching the tackle , they make a fun and challenging catch .
