    Default Gill day

Went to my bluegill lake and fishing my float n fly about 3 foot deep managed one lone gill the first hour. Was just about to leave and decided to make a few casts for bass using a 3" Keitech Spider. Water there was deeper than I thought there, took awhile for it to hit bottom and while I was dragging it along bottom it got whacked several times by what I thought were gills so went back to the float n fly fishing it 5 foot deep and like magic started catching some good ones, including three that hit the 9" mark. Finished with 25 before I called it a day. Did hook something bigger that took off and had the drag screaming and the knot failed. Thinking it might have been a big Redear. Caught a few last year up to 12" but none this year. Name: IMG_4455.jpg
