    Default With the new one

It was ugly and unfinished but I had to fish it. Took the 6’1” Pfenix with my new to me Presso 1025 for its first spin this morning. Didn’t score on the first cast but it wasn’t long before I had it all bent up and having fun.

Y’all get off easy today, that’s the only pics I thought to take. Got one ten inch and used the same jig all day. Caught about a dozen good gills total and some real nice redbreast and a bunch of smalls. Those little fish really light up the rod, sensitivity is very good. Used some Sufix Nanobraid in 2lb and liked it fine except being dark green it’s hard to see. Only took three rods and gave em all a spin but wanted to spend time with the new one. It even shoots well but not as responsive as the other builds in recent past. This one has a soft tip as expected but more bone in the middle than the Fenwick offering in the same length. This un is 6’1”. The best fight of the day was from a 9” fish that was built bigger and tougher looking than the rest. He pulled drag a few times and made me think I had a shellcracker on. Thanks for coming along, hope to see you out soon…..Skeet

Nice looking combo and some nice fish .
Your new rod has a similar action to my Abu Garcia rods .
    Thanks for the pics !
The only way for me to connect on some bigger fish is to get out in my boat , and it’s just too hot for that right now .
Looking forward to the fall and early winter fishing .

Moon, no plans other than an 8’ 20-40lb rig for a friend. Other side of the spectrum.

Alpha, all good but a little noisy. Smoothest I’ve had in my hands for a while. Drag was ok and wasn’t as loud as Victors. The one gill I spoke of had it making some racket though. I had to adjust the speed of my cast or it doesn’t cast well. If I cast it hard and fast it doesn’t go anywhere. Slow it down some and it’s just fine.
