    Default Heat of the evening!

Got a chance to run out for some bluegill action while they not deterred by the extreme of heat we all experiencing the country over. By sun down today LV still registered 105 at the airport tarmac. As late only one local pond still hold enough Bluegills to be outright 3to1 against green sunfish which I'm trying to avoid today....with occasional carps thrown. Rods used are home made 3' , 4' Daiwa X, and 5' telescopic. Only 9 caught...heat proved unbearable after 1 hour out!!Name: Screenshot_20230721_095622_Gallery.jpg

the heat has been on, luckily yesterday and today, it has been bearable with slightly lower temps and greatly reduced humidity, still a lot of heat left, I'd say you done big for an hour in that kind of heat

I know exactly what thatheat in LV is like. The majority of my growing years was 158 miles west of there in the same desert. Town of Barstow, Ca. where I-40 and I-15 juncture...Not quite as hot but really close. Dry heat, kinda like opening a hot oven door...

I spent a day in Chino at a gun club and got educated to the different heat y’all have out there. About a hundred and never got any sweat when I rubbed my hand down my forearm. But I did get dehydrated and had to sit and drink some water for a while. Saw the LA smog block my sight of the mountains a few times, very odd for me. I’m used to the green and humidity of the east.
