    Default 30 minute Quick Trip

Dropped my wife off at the hair salon and drove to nearby Lake McIntosh .
I set a timer on my watch for 30 minutes as I started fishing .
Hooked a small bluegill on my first two casts . Just knew it was going to be a fast and furious thirty minutes. .
I was fishing economy today , my 5’6” St Croix Triumph ULF , with a Carbon X 1000s shallow spool reel , spooled with KastKing 6# braid , a 4# Floroclear leader .
Lure was a the tiny .7g micro spinner . All of this was planned last night and with only thirty minutes, I hoped I was right .
A little wind gave me trouble casting the light lure a few times , but I was able to get it out far enough to catch seven total with my best two coming last as my timer went off .
    Buzzer beaters .
Most were trainer gills but felt good on the SC ultralight.

Seven in thirty minutes is pretty good. Sounds like a fun and quick trip.

Thirty minutes is plenty time to spend out there in the heat of the day .
Glad there was a little breeze that helped some .
We’ve got high high humidity around here so when it’s 90 it feels like 98 !

Good deal. I spent an hour out in the heat and got zero. Not even a tap.

    Regards

BTW , the 5’6” SC Triumph/carbon X combo was a blast catching gills today . A super lightweight combo .
These two piece rods have a unique action similar to an XUL .
All of the two piece SC 5’6” models are fun gill catchers , the Triumph, the Premier , and the Avid .
I have an older model Triumph 5’6” model that I used for catching stocker trout in north Georgia. The light fast tip helped keep the trout hooked up better than any other rod I had back then .

A good trip for a short one, and the second pic is a pretty one. I worked almost twelve hours today and the actual temps were just under 100*. I like your day better. Yours too Randy, even with no fish.
