    Default Saturday morning gill trip

Got to the lake about 8am and gills were cooperating. Skunk was over on the second cast. Using the usual 1/48 chub float n fly jigs with a #12 sickle caught 20 or so gills from 7-9", all but two were males. Not on beds but close to where the do bed, just a little deeper. I was using Seaguar Senshi 4# monofilament that has a diameter of .006/.16 which is actually close to 3# in diameter. Line looks clear inside but turns fl. blue in natural light. I can see this line much better, it casts very well and the fish didn't mind even in the clear water. Name: IMG_4419.jpg

Actually Jim a 0.165mm line is 4# test. A 3# test line is 0.148mm. Varivas Twitch Master 3# test has a diameter of 0.128. Pretty remarkable nylon line.
